Welcome to the Gloucestershire Round Table Lodge.
Whether you are a Freemason or not, you are most welcome to look around our site. For non-masons we have tried to provide interesting material and answers to some of your more obvious questions. There are also links to where you can learn even more.
Freemasonry is not a secret society and many of the pages of this site are intended to dispel some of the myths surrounding Freemasonry. The restricted area of the site is where, like many clubs or organisations, we hold material of relevance to members only.
The Gloucestershire Round Table Lodge is a Freemasons' Lodge operating under the English Constitution on the register of the United Grand Lodge of England. We meet regularly at the Masonic Hall, Wotton-under-Edge, Gloucestershire. Our aims, as with all Craft lodges, are “brotherly love, relief and truth” which are perhaps more easily understood as fellowship, charity and morality. More information on all this can be found on the following pages.
The origin of the lodge, and its connection with the Round Table organisation, is also described on the following pages. From these roots our lodge has flourished. Our meetings are enjoyable and we recognise the importance of our social activities involving families and friends. Visiting Freemasons can be sure of a warm welcome at the lodge.
